  I have attended vumc for about four years. I was raised Catholic. I sort of Stumbled into VUMC. My family had been having some horrific times......Our beloved grandson Aiden died after 5 short weeks of life, & another son became addicted to drugs, & after several years of relapse and recovery cycle, finally ended up in prison. I felt so incredibly lost. I felt as if my world falling apart. I had heard that VUMC had an awesome Pastor who seemed to always have the right words. I decided to give it a try. My first time there was very inspiring. His message seemed to be written just for me. He not only gave me hope, but truly opened the door for God to be a true part of my life. I have absolutely no idea how people could not have the same experience. EVERY message he gives, is a good one. I have never left church after hearing him, and not felt so incredibly happy that I was there. He has the true gift to reach others. If anyone reading this post feels sad, lost, hopeless, lonely, or looking for inner peace, please take one hour on a Sunday and give it a try. It was hard for me to go to church for some reason...not sure why. I now see that God had the plan for me and led me to Pastor Steve. He saved my life. He truly did. I hope my post can help others who too feel lost & at sometimes hopeless. One hour, Sunday, VUMC at 9:15. Pastor Corazon and Pastor Don are awesome too, but Pastor Steve has the true gift. I know God sent him to be a part of my life, as well as my families life. Give him s try. He will save you too.

  hello ,i have been attending this church for say 6 months or more and i really have lots to say re your pastor steve creel .he doesnt have the kindness and love of his people to be a pastor.he is cold and very strong on his ideas he is right and there is no room for others oppinion . his sermon has mostly no talk of the bible iam new to this and want to learn what gods book says .he just goes on and on about his life and the misfortunate things that has happend to him .he says hi when he wants and looks away at his people .i went to the church meeting in march i belive it was well it was something no one would of believed if you werent there .he had his big bully show on and when people stood to talk about their groups one nice woman who did so much for the church talked he said shut up sit down i had enough .well people were yelling you bully ..what kind o preacher are you etc people walked out and never came back .the head of our beautiful chorus left cause of him and steve lied to the congration i know that for a fact re him .instead of say 35 people in chorus we are lucky to have 12 or so .everyone wants bj back he had anyone and everyone singing .now re miss gwen the childrens teacher there is no one better loving etc to do this .my grandchildren go 2 times a week to church in her group the 5 yr old knows all what jesus life was like and the 8 yr old loves miss gwen and her teachings.and looks foward to going .bj the chorus leader and gwen are the 2 most dedicated people not only to our church but with god .when it was said bj was leaving at the meeting people were yelling to steve to stop this and his leaving .this past sun gwen called every one up to pray on her she needed prayer when she said this she looked so sad i looked at pastor steve and he had a big no giant smile with a smirky smile on his face he is no pastor at all . please i know lots of goings on in the church from his threat lately to fire his staff yes thats what he did to bj but he changed his story around for us to belive .he isnt friendly at all to the kids but gwen makes up for this . i hate to say this but he has more qualities of the devil then god . people here are threating to go to the news bring everything out in the open and go to the police with the letter signed from him about shooting the boy scott leader in the head and he would b doing jesus a favor omg this is sick !!! lots of people left this church in the past 30 to 60 days and manuy more are ready to leave but when a man says call the head office report me and i will fight all of u and win some people get real nervous and think he will come after them . sorry for the mistakes in here i dont type lol thank u .... j

  It's got music family feel and friendly. They focus on God and our personal walks with Jesus. Great Pastor easy to follow and always keeps your attention.
